When you use spot, we collect the following information:

• Name — provided when you create your account.
• Email address — used to identify your account and send relevant communications.
• Location (neighbourhood) — used to show you deals and experiences relevant to your area of Cape Town.
• Activity data — the deals you claim, businesses you follow, and redemptions you make.

• To personalise the deals and experiences shown to you based on your neighbourhood and preferences.
• To allow businesses to understand how their listings are performing through anonymised analytics (e.g. claim counts, peak times).
• To send you notifications about new deals from businesses you follow, if you opt in.
• To maintain and improve the spot platform.

Your personal information is never sold, rented, or traded to third parties for marketing purposes. Businesses on spot only receive aggregated, anonymised analytics — they do not have access to your personal details unless you explicitly choose to share them via the "Share my details with businesses" setting in your profile.

You can delete your account at any time directly from the spot app. Go to Profile → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account, all claimed deals, and your following history. This action cannot be undone.
